Cosmos plants are tough, self-supporting, heavy blooming & easy to maintain.
Cosmos blossoms also make attractive dried flowers.
This variety has medium pink flowers and grows to five feet tall. Suitable for cutting, beds and borders, and the pollinator garden.
Cosmos (Cosmos Bipinnatus Sensation Pinkie) - Create a cloud of pink for the back of the flower border by growing these flower seeds! Cosmos Pinkie has large 3 - 4 inch blooms of rosy pink. They create a soft, cloud-like display and make a wonderful backdrop for lower growing flowers in front. These flowers attract butterflies and bees, and they are such a rewarding flower to grow, requiring little care.
Many gardeners call these flowers Mexican Asters, and they do well in hot, desert type areas but easily adapt to many conditions and thrive. Cosmos Mexican Asters are known as excellent cut flowers with a vase life of 7 - 10 days. Cut the blooms in the early morning hours, and select stems with flowers that have just opened. Remove the leaves below the water line, and enjoy a beautiful bouquet!
