 Neem is a natural herb that comes from the neem tree, other names for which include Azadirachta indica and Indian lilac. The extract comes from the seeds of the tree and has many different traditional uses. Neem is known for its pesticidal and insecticidal properties, but people also use it in hair and dental products.

The botanical name of dried neem leaves is Azadirachta indica. It is also known as Indian lilac, nim tree, neem is a tree in the mahogany. It belongs to the meliaceae family. It is 1 or 2 species in the genus of Azadirachta. It is native to India and the subcontinent of Indian are Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Dried neem leaves are the fast growing tree. Neem is a fast-growing tree and can reach a height of 15-20 metres. It has white and fragrant flowers arranged in the form of drooping axillary panicles. Its fruit is a smooth olive-like drupe which varies in shape from elongate oval to nearly roundish. Normally the neem tree thrives in areas with sub-arid to sub-humid conditions on well drained deep and sandy soils.
